Den Russell-Perez-Crash ...
... gibt es hier noch einmal im Video. Christian Horner erklärt dazu: "Er hatte aus Kurve 3 kommend guten Schwung. Und Rennfahrer probieren's halt. Wann immer du es außen in Kurve 4 probierst, hängst du sehr von deinem Gegner innen ab, dass er dir genug Platz lässt."
Allerdings gibt es bei dem Crash verschiedene Sichtweisen. Ich freue mich in diesem Zusammenhang ja schon wieder auf unsere Notenkonferenz morgen früh. (Abstimmen nicht vergessen!)
Tsunoda: Das härteste Wochenende des Jahres
Damit legen wir unseren Fokus jetzt wieder auf die weiteren Themen des Tages. Zum Beispiel auf Tsunoda, der 16. wurde. Und hätte Vettel nicht noch eine Fünf-Sekunden-Strafe bekommen, wäre er sogar 17. und damit Letzter geworden.
"Ich hatte am ganzen Wochenende keine Pace und wir hatten seit FT2 Probleme", berichtet er. Das Auto sei überall gerutscht, und in den Daten habe man den Grund dafür nicht finden können.
"Ich habe heute alles gegeben", versichert er und betont, von seiner Seite sei einfach nicht mehr drin gewesen. "Insgesamt war das das härteste Rennwochenende, das wir in diesem Jahr bislang hatten", so der Japaner.
Teamkollege Gasly landete selbst mit zwei Strafen im Gepäck noch vor ihm.
Begründung
In der Tat ging es darum, dass es vor dem Wiegen Kontakt mit den Physios gab. Diese hätten das Parc Ferme "ohne Zustimmung" betreten. Das wird nicht gerne gesehen, weshalb die FIA nun eingeschritten ist. Es ging wohl eher darum, hier einmal ein Statement zu setzen.
Hier die Begründung im Wortlaut:
"The Stewards received a report from the Media Delegate, which was subsequently confirmed by video evidence, that the physio / drivers' assistants of the top three finishers entered Parc Ferme without permission and in violation of the procedure that was published prior to the race 'for the orderly conduct of the event.'"
"In part this is to prevent handing over of items to the drivers prior to them being weighed. The Competitor is fined ?10,000, which will be suspended for the remainder of the season pending any further violation of the procedure, and the competitors are warned that the passes of the individuals concerned may be revoked in case of systemic violation."

Das ging jetzt schnell: Auch das Urteil der Top 3 ist da. Alle müssen 10.000 Euro Strafe zahlen, ausgesetzt zur Bewährung. Mehr gleich!
Zusammenfassung
Kern der Begründung ist, dass Alonso einen ganz normalen Boxenstopp absolviert habe und es keine Anzeichen dafür gegeben habe, dass etwas schiefgelaufen sei. Der Spanier habe erst in Kurve 3 gemerkt, dass sich etwas komisch anfühle.
Und weil niemand gewusst habe, was los sei, sei es natürlich auch keine unsichere Freigabe gewesen. Eine Strafe hätte es lediglich gegeben, wenn Alonso wissentlich mit einem losen Rad gefahren wäre.
Dafür fanden die Rennkommissare aber keinerlei Anzeichen.
Keine Strafe für Alonso
So schnell kann es dann gehen! Der Spanier darf P10 behalten, weil die Stewards zu dem Schluss kamen, dass es keine unsichere Freigabe von Alpine war. Das komplette (und umfangreiche) Statement im Wortlaut gibt es zunächst einmal hier:
"Alonso made a pit stop at 16:12 during the VSC due to the incident at turn 4. The left front wheel subsequently came loose by a small margin and the Stewards investigated to see if the car was 'released in an unsafe condition' which is a potential breach of Article 34.14 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations."
"The Stewards reviewed multiple angles of video of the pit stop, including pit lane CCTV, CCTV from over the pit stop location and in-car footage. There is nothing in the video to indicate that the pit stop was anything other than a normal pit stop, including that the wheel concerned appears to fully engage and become fully tight."
"The team manager reported that the mechanic fitting the wheel reported that everything felt normal, and indeed his body language on the video appears completely normal. Nothing appears to be wrong until just before turn 3, where the wheel slightly disengages from the car, by a very small amount."
"Shortly after turn 3 the driver states on the radio that they will need to box again. When asked by the crew the driver simply reported that they needed to box again. In the hearing, the driver stated that he cannot see the rim of the wheel and that all he felt was a small vibration."
"This is consistent with the video, in that the movement of the tyre was hardly distinguishable. After entering the pit lane, the driver stated 'check left front.' In the hearing he stated that it felt worse when he turned to the right than when he turned to the left, but that there was still nothing obvious from his vantage point."
"After the race, the left front wheel with the tyre and the axel were inspected by the Technical Delegate and the Head of Single Seater Technical Affairs. They reported to the Stewards that the damage to the wheel and axel is consistent with a parts failure in all likelihood subsequent to the exit of the car from the pits."
"Based on the footage of the car from the moment the wheel was fitted, until the failure became apparent, the Stewards conclude that the wheel was fully fitted, and that subsequent to the failure, all the retention systems worked as designed."
"The Stewards therefore conclude that the car was not released in an unsafe condition and take no further action."
